penelope & harrison

The anticipation to shoot here in the Spring was huge! I couldn't wait. This is the same Orchard I used in the fall, I couldn't wait to see what it would look like in the Spring. It didn't disappoint. However, it's been an interesting wait, with the weather constantly changing. It was overcast and as we shot it just got colder. I would say my kids were troopers, but honestly they let me know exactly how they were feeling. I really don't like shooting my kids, it's great in theory and I was so excited for this shoot and their Easter outfits, Harrison's tie matched her dress perfectly, how cute is that. But really this was my hardest shoot yet. There are so many little things that are driving me crazy about these photos but really I know I am lucky I got a few good ones, especially one of the two of them, I don't know what I was thinking. To top it off I realized afterwards that I didn't shoot these in raw. I am just glad it's over, however, I know the photographer in me might try again. With some of the photos I used a vintage action, I really like what that did to the photos and I love the mocha tint!
I don't kow how long the blossoms will last but they look amazing if anyone is interesing in shooting here let me know asap.

easton

This adorable little guy, Easton, was hilarious, so many fun expressions. He even fell asleep for us. It's always so hard to choose which photos to post, so many cute ones. I love the little doggie they brought, they have a boxer which they want to photos with next time, which should be really fun! I love animals, I'm feeling sentimental, we watched Marley & Me last night. This was shot in the studio garage, loving this warm weather.

behm

This family came from Wisconsin for this shoot. The baby's name is Noah Harrison, so cute, doesn't get much better than that. And he was such a good baby, we even got him asleep for the teacup shot. He was a trooper. Super cute family. This was a combination of natural light and flash. Still working on perfecting my lighting , one day I will have new equipment. But for now it's fun trying to adjust lights that are unadjustable. It was too cold to shoot in the studio/garage so I opted for my living room. Yes, one day I will also have a real studio too. But I am getting excited for Spring and Summer so I can shoot outside all I want. If only it would stop getting so cold here. I heard more snow is on the way.

eden

This is Cameron and DJ's older brother, we did this shoot separately when he would be home from school. These three boys are simply gorgeous. Eden was a great sport, and I loved that we did some football shots. We had to call all the neighbors to find a decent ball and this one looks awesome. He is so into football, such a guy, I love that we captured that.

cameron & dj

This shoot was really fun, I am in love with Cameron's curls. And DJ couldn't stop smiling I loved it. This was all natural light, I set this up in my house. So it's a little softer than my studio lights. But I think they turned out great, the top photo just melts my heart.
