Military Spouse Magazine asked me to do another shoot for a feature article about the holidays. One theme was celebrating Christmas in July when your Service Member comes home, so we had a blast creating Christmas in October to look like July! I used my kids and husband, it was so much fun! The kids loved it. And I love seeing Penelope and Harrison in the magazine. They thought it was cool, but when they saw Daddy in the background that made them laugh hysterically. It definitely got us in the mood for Christmas. Fun shoot!

I was thrilled when Military Spouse Magazine contacted me about doing a Cover Shoot!!I haven't done anything like this so it was a fun challenge. It was such a blast, the model and her family were awesome and we got to eat Thanksgiving dinner in September! I shot the cover in her kitchen! We went to the Commissary in Dugway to shoot there, they were so sweet and opened up early for us and helped us out with anything we needed. It was a ton of fun! This magazine goes out internationally to most military locations, so we went up to Hill Air Force Base and picked up several copies. It was crazy seeing my cover in the stands. Crazy to see my work published in a magazine! It was really awesome, so glad I got the opportunity. I loved working with MSM over the phone and emails also, they were so nice! (http://www.milspouse.com/) Aynn took my photo for the contributers page, they asked if you could take one thing to a deserted island what would it be?

So, these guys have known me since I was three years old. What a treat it was to do these photos. Plus they haven't had photos taken of themselves together for about thirty years, so it was about time. I am a bit out of my element shooting adults, so it was a fun challenge. Since she travels so much we incorporated that into the theme and it turned out pretty cool. I love the candid feel of some of the images. Lighting was tricky, we had full sun, tried to play with that. Absolutley love the pink stilettos, have got to get myself a pair! Karen looks fabulous!

Bigger groups are always a challenge for me and doing the shot at thier house was even harder. But we got the lights to work and everybody was very patient so it went well. I love the shoots outsides especially the ones of Brandy and Jeremy, it was freezing!! But they stayed out and we did some fun ones! They are my old CrossFit trainers, oh how I miss those days. Seriously the best workout ever! (http://crossfituv.com/) Everyone was so nice, fun Christmas shoot!

This is my sister's family and the extra two kids are mine. They were pretty excited when we set this up in my living room, it was crazy snowy weather outside. They spontaneously broke out into a game of ring-around-the-rosie! I love it! Thebackground was fun, we rented that. My friend Aynn came and helped out with a big group shoot of my whole family. So it was a crazy fast shoot, we got some cute ones, but I am dying to do a real shoot for my sister, last time I flew out there to do a shoot we were rained out all weekend, this time we were snowed in. Maybe next time.
