So my first official shoot since moving to Virginia {except the ones I have done of my kids, I should post those sometime} These are my best clients! Third year shooting this cute family that has traveled from Texas each time! And it's fun since I've known her for just about ever! We meet up in DC to try to get some cherry blossom shots since they were blooming. However, weather was very uncooperative, it was super cloudy. I enjoy a little overcast - makes for less harsh shadows but this was super gray and washing out the blossoms. Plus it got super cold then started to rain and the rain turned to ice cubes pelting us, CRAZY! Plus it was crazy crowded; DC, cherry blossoms, go figure. But we got these shots before the rain started, and this little guy, two years old did amazing in such a crazy environment and I got so many smiles!! Love it!

Getting settled after the move across counrty and I found this shoot that I did back in August I think. We changed location last minute due to rain, which I think turned out for the best. It was a huge group and honestly I am not a huge fan of shooting these big family reunion types shoots because I am so limited, with a child shoot or even small family I get to be so creative and I'm shooting more photos of the same subject so the client is almost guarenteed to like something in there, right? These huge shoots are just very intimadating, but I do have some new favorites that came out of this shoot - the little boy in overalls - gorgeous!!
